In a culture of consumption, 9.9 out of 10 places you pass on your morning drive are solely there to serve or sell something to you.

Grow up in that for a decade or two and you start to think that serving yourself is the purpose of life, and, unfortunately, you believe the lie that it’s also the key to happiness.

When life bends your path toward the hopefully inevitable realization that life is really about contribution, I wish you well on your mission to identify the opportunities to give; I know it’s difficult, I’ve only just started myself.

Beyond that step, though, I implore you to do your part to shift the culture just a little away from consumption, and just a little more toward contribution.

God knows we need your input.
